DEBBIE WONG
Debbie Wong is an emeritus member of the Primavera Board, which she joined in 2005. Debbie is a second-generation Arizonan, born in Tucson and raised on a cotton farm in Marana. She graduated from Marana High School, when the graduating class was a mere 70 students, and from the University of Arizona. A career banker, Debbie spent 37 years in diverse areas of the industry, including several management and administration assignments. Her last position was vice president and business relationship manager, with a portfolio of several non-profits, including Primavera.
On the board, Debbie has been committed to Primavera’s mission of working with community members to overcome barriers that prevent them from achieving long-term financial stability. She has served on every committee and has a special affection for the Primavera Cooks! Committee. In fact, she has been an apprentice chef for 11 years and has a goal to make it to 15 years. Debbie, who is retired, also serves on another non-profit board, volunteers at a hospital and enjoys travel and photography. Her favorite place in the world is Africa.
