Many neighborhoods in the Tucson metropolitan area are in transition: facing increased crime, having vacant and dilapidated homes, enduring low rates of home ownership. Primavera builds neighborhoods of choice, where people of all income levels will want to live. Our work in affordable housing provides a substantial investment in troubled neighborhoods.

Revitalization Initiatives

Our neighborhood revitalization efforts are designed to bring neighbors together, develop neighborhood lead er ship, and assist in the creation of pride in the area. The Neighborhood Revitalization Program includes neighborhood cleanup days, special neighborhood construction projects, and facilitating neighborhood revitalization efforts. Affordable Housing created by Primavera Builders rehabilitates or constructs as many as 30 units of affordable housing each year. Housing styles range from town homes to single-family units. All homes comply with U.S. Department of Housing and Urban De vel op ment guidelines for safe, sanitary housing. Spe cial care is tak en to provide a home that is energy-efficient and easy to maintain. Some of our homes are part of the Tucson Electric Power Guarantee Program. Home Ownership Program offers homes for sale to first-time, low-income homebuyers who earn be tween 50% and 80% of the community’s average income. All eligible homebuyers are provided with help ful credit counseling, down payment assistance, and home owner ship education.
